We are a close-knit group of people from western Odisha regions like Sambalpur, Sundargarh, Bargarh, Balangir, Jharsuguda, Sonepur, Nuapada, Khariar, Kalahandi, Patnagarh, Padmapur and Deogarh. Now calling the Netherlands our home. Proud of our Sambalpuri roots and inspired by the warmth of our homeland, we have come together to create a cultural family far away from the homeland.
What we Do ?
Promote Sambalpuri Heritage by showcasing our textiles, promoting handlooms, folk music, dance and regional cusine.
Stay connected by organising meet-ups, cultural worshops and family gathering to keep our bonds together. Helping each other at need and contribute to the Society.

Celebrating 10 Years of Togetherness – Nuakhai in the Netherlands
Muhuri Community proudly marks its 10th Anniversary on 20th of September 2025 with a grand Nuakhai celebration at Buurt Centrum De Ruimte, Nimfenplein 1, 1363 SV, Almere. Over 25+ families will come together to honor tradition with vibrant cultural performances, fun-filled games, and authentic regional delicacies. Join us as we celebrate a decade of unity, culture, and joy!
